First birthday sessions are always bittersweet. I love them. I love seeing how much babies have grown and changed over that entire first year, but it also means I won’t get to see them every few months. Baby N was one of my milestone babies that I had the privilege of documenting her from newborn, 6-month sitter and then most recently this beautiful outdoor first birthday session. It’s always great when the timing works out where we can do first birthday sessions outdoor and involve the whole family. Around a year old, babies are usually taking their first steps, or about to take those first steps and it’s one of my favourite things to document. They are so happy to roam free outside and play with their parents in the evening golden sun.
Baby N’s parents decided to use this lakefront park for their pictures and it was perfect. We had a nice warm summer evening full of smiles, laughter and reminiscing.
