This session with baby S who was just shy of 3 months old is absolutely darling and beautiful. I adore older newborn sessions and I’m always up for the challenge to get as many “fresh newborn” looking images as I can. 🙂 I fully understand the adjustment a new baby brings to a home, and sometimes booking newborn pictures gets put at the bottom of the priority list. Not to worry, I love working with older newborns and between 4-7 weeks old, I approach the session very very similar to what I do with 2-week olds. This adorable baby was even older than that, and we still managed to swaddle her up for a few photos and get a large and gorgeous gallery. It’s always ideal to have parents involved in the photos for older newborns because often, at this age, baby is most comfortable in their parents arms. So if parents are dressed and ready for photos as well, we can keep baby happy and keep shooting.
