When and how do I receive my photos?
Within two weeks of your session you will receive an online gallery of edited high resolution digital files in colour and black + white to choose from.
Can I print my photos anywhere?
Yes… but keep reading for my two cents… All of my photography packages include a print release, meaning the photos are yours to print as you please. I do recommend that you print with my professional print lab to guarantee quality and accurate colour. Prints can be ordered from your online gallery. I have a wide variety of print sizes and products for you to order if you choose. Printing at poor quality print shops such as Walmart or Costco is not recommended. Please do not edit or alter your digital images in any way, including filters on social media photo apps.
Can you travel to my town outside of Burlington, Oakville, Waterdown or Hamilton area?
Depending on my schedule, yes. Please inquire for rates and availability.
What is the best time for maternity portraits?
It’s best to schedule your maternity session when you are between 32-35 weeks so that you have a nice round baby bump – that’s what we’re aiming to capture after all – but you are also still able to move around relatively easy at this stage.
What is the best time for newborn portraits?
If you are planning on an in-studio session it is best to capture sleepy baby portraits within the first 5-14 days. Contact me in your second trimester to ensure I have availability around your due date. If you wish to have lifestyle newborn photos done in your home, the timeframe is up to 12 weeks old! Because of this, I can usually book lifestyle newborn sessions even after baby is born.
What is the best time for older baby portraits?
My absolute favourite time is when baby is sitting but not yet crawling, usually around 6-8 months. They are full of smiles and have lots of personality.
What should I wear/how do I prepare for my session?
You will receive a session prep guide upon booking with detailed instructions on what to wear, what to bring with you and how to prepare for your shoot. Please arrive on time for your scheduled session. Your outdoor session start time is based on the sunlight and if we start late we will have less shooting time, resulting in less final images. I sometimes book multiple studio sessions in a day and will not push back the next client to accommodate your late arrival. I do allow time for soothing a fussy baby and taking feeding breaks and that is built into your session.
Why do I need to pay a deposit?
All of my photography packages require a non-refundable deposit of $200 + HST. This initial deposit reserves your session time. I understand that sometimes things happen… kids get sick, there is a family emergency…. You can reschedule your session up to 24 hours before the session date and your deposit will move to your new session date. But, if you cancel your session and do not reschedule, you forfeit your deposit. Cancellations and rescheduling must be submitted 24 hours before your session time. If you don’t show up for your appointment or you are more than 15 minutes late, your deposit will be forfeited and you must reschedule a new appointment and pay a new deposit. Let me know of any schedule changes or issues as soon as you can and I will try to be flexible and accommodate your needs.
Mother nature can sometimes be unpredictable, I may need to postpone or reschedule your session if weather issues arise. I will contact you as soon as possible and work out a new schedule and your deposit will transfer to your new session date.

Do you have COVID precautions and procedures in place?
Yes, of course. I have a number of things that I do before, during and after each session to keep you, your baby and myself safe. I will outline these in an email to you during the booking process.
