This session screams “Summer!” and I love it. I have photographed this family quite a few times before and it’s always a good time. They are loving and easy going. They trust my guidance and the boys are so well-behaved. It helps when you keep a photo session focused on exploring and playing, rather than posing together for a full hour. No kid has the patience for that.
This location was new for me last summer and it’s a great choice for warm weather days with older kids. I say older kids, because it’s a rocky beach and has a ton of those rock boulders that kids are absolutely going to climb on, which would be pretty tricky for a young toddler. But for kids 5+ and for those kids who don’t love sand, this rocky waterfront is perfect. This location has a nautical vibe and this family dressed perfectly to match. There is a bit of a garden in the middle of the park that adds some variety to the photos. Kids will love the binoculars at the lookout point, and throwing rocks into the water with their parents.
