Jacob’s parents requested a casual at-home newborn session. I really enjoy getting to know new families in the intimate environment of their home. It makes for such a personal session and unique images. At only 10 days old, Jacob has completely stolen the hearts of this sweet couple and turned them into a family of three. As soon as I walked in I knew the session was going to be great. They had the best casual and comfortable vibe that lends itself well to lifestyle newborn photos. They were happy to show me all the rooms in their Burlington home and we picked the best spaces based on light and unique features, like this super cool artwork piece of the Toronto skyline. As soon as I saw that photo in their bright sunroom I told them we’d be using this space for sure! I also thought this was an ideal situation to use their “Happily Ever After” pillow. I’m sure that’s exactly how they are feeling as they look down at their newborn son. So many wonderful days are ahead of them.
Jacob was a perfect little baby, so content to just hang out in the arms of his loving parents. Even though he was less than two weeks old, he had such intense eye contact. He was able to track movement around him really well and I just love some of the images we captured where he was staring intently at his mom and dad. So, so cute! Congratulations D Family!
