I was SO excited for this baby to be born. I did maternity and newborn photos for this family the last time and I was thrilled when they reached out to ask me if I’d photograph baby number two! Baby girl E was 5-weeks old when I visited their Burlington home for their session. When we did big brother’s photos a few years back he was a bit older as well and they loved how awake and alert he was, so they specifically decided to wait a bit longer this go around as well! It went fantastic. In fact, I find that siblings are better adjusted and more willing to participate if they have had a month or so to get used to the new baby in their lives. Big brother was happy to lay with his sister, as long as he had his favourite puppy stuffed animal with him too. Thankfully mom was really easy going and completely ok with it. Look how cute the sibling images turned out! If we had taken away his puppy he might have been upset so I’m all for parents who go with the flow.
