Surprise baby girl, Hazel visited the studio recently to capture newborn photos with her sweet family. She was in and out of sleep during her family shots. I think she didn’t want to miss out on all the action! This 14-day old summertime girl took a little while to settle into a deep sleep, but after she fed she was fast asleep and it was easy to capture so many beautiful photographs. I even captured some smiles! Baby Hazel’s nursery is decorated in yellow and grey so I pulled some of those colours into her session. Big sister Annabelle was so proud to show me her new little sister and enjoyed wrapping up her baby dolly into some of my baskets and props. Mom requested lots of natural looking newborn photos without a lot of frills and bows. Those are my favourite too. I love to let babies pose themselves and see how they settle. It’s usually in positions similar to how they laid in the womb. So pure and simple.
