Baby Jacob is celebrating his first birthday soon and Mom brought him to my Burlington studio for a first birthday session. Jacob is one fast crawler, let me tell you! Luckily I’m pretty fast too. I can’t even imagine when he starts walking. I’m fairly certain he’ll just skip walking and go straight to running. We managed to capture some beautiful images of his babyhood. My favourite images are the ones I got at the very end of the session. Jacob’s mom and I were just hanging out talking and he was sitting ever so quietly playing. I noticed his sweet eyelashes and because he was so still I snapped some detail shots of them with my macro lens. Babies who turn one are teething. Teething babies drool! Instead of being bothered by it, I captured that too. One itty bitty drool drop frozen in motion. I loved it instantly. So unique!
