I’ve been meaning to blog this session FOREVER. It was actually a bit of fun for me that I waited this long because I got to relive the joy from our evening a few years ago. This family reached out to me for a session to celebrate their baby girl turning one. I had photographed them prior for newborn photos at their home, so it was great to catch up with them after a whole year. And wow did she grow and change. We started our session at this beautiful flower garden park that I love to visit in the summer and we ended the photos close by at the beach. It was great to have a little bit of both locations. Baby girl was so happy and sweet. It was lovely to spend time with this adorable family of three and watch them love on each other.
For the summer, I always recommend doing first birthday sessions outdoors. Babies are usually on the move by 12 months of age and it’s easy and fun to take them to a place where they are free to roam with lots of space and all sorts of experiences to keep them engaged.
