I was thrilled when this family came back to my Burlington studio to capture their sweet boy turning one. We had done his newborn portraits the year prior so I got to see how much he had grown and changed in the last year. I also use this as an opportunity to check in on mom and dad to see how the year went. Baby’s first year is a big one. Baby goes through so many changes and milestones – maybe they start sleeping through the night, maybe not… maybe there is some sleep regression along the way, which is the worst, right? Baby has started sitting, crawling, pulling themselves to a stand and likely almost walking. It’s a wild adventure and usually our visit is full of reminiscing about the newborn days and laughing about all the ups and downs of parenthood.
