I had the greatest time returning to this family’s beautiful Oakville home to capture newborn photos of their baby boy. I was blessed enough to capture their daughter’s whole first year, including newborn, sitter and first birthday, so really, this family feels more like friends than clients. It’s so comfortable and familiar to get to know families of the course of a whole year as their baby grows.
Baby boy F was awake, serious and full of frowns for me on this day. It was super cute. We used their primary bedroom and baby’s nursery to create a huge collection of images for their gallery. Big sister was able to come in and out of the photos as she pleased because she was in the comfort of her own home. It was perfect.
I love in-home family sessions with fresh babies. There’s just something cozy and meaningful of entering a family’s home to document their new baby in the space they spend the most time in.
