I am in love with these photos. Older newborns are amazing and each time I do a session with a baby beyond that “2-week age” I am reminded just how fun and beautiful an older baby session can be. This family reached out after baby was already born and I wasn’t able to fit them in right away, but I’m so glad they decided to wait for an available date which happened to be around the 1-month old mark.
Baby A was alert, happy and an absolute joy to photograph. Mom and Dad did a great job loving on her and enjoying our time together. We managed to get so many gorgeous photos of her. These pictures show you that baby doesn’t need to sleep for a successful photo session. She spent most of the time wide awake, only closing her eyes for a few moments and it was great. She had good eye contact with the camera, gave us some yawns, some smiles and cute expressions. This session is from last winter and I’ve already done an outdoor sitter session for this family. I can’t wait to share that too. We did it outdoors in the rose garden and the photos are so gorgeous, they look out of a magazine!
